Pre-Sales Questions

Will you place ads on my site? We will not place ads on your site.

Do you allow sites to advertise for money on their website? Yes, we allow sites to have commercial advertisements.

What forms of payment do you accept? We accept checks, money orders, PayPal, and credit cards.

What operating system do your servers run? Our servers run on CentOS Linux.

Do you allow adult sites? Yes, as long as it does not violate our terms of service.

Is tax included with my monthly or yearly plan? Yes, tax is included with the price.

What control panel do you use and do you have a demo? We currently use cPanel 11. A demo can be found here. Login with the username "demo" and the password "demo".

Can I host friends? Yes, you may host your friends.

How long does it take to set up my account? Typically accounts are setup within 30 minutes of ordering. Custom accounts may take up to 1 business day to set up your account.

Do you offer telnet or shell access? Currently we do not offer telnet or shell access do to security reasons. We may look into offering ssh access in the future.

Can I password protect directories? Yes, you may password protect your directories from within cPanel.

Control Panel

Is a manual available for the control panel? A manual for cPanel is available at http://www.cpanel.net/docs/cp/index.html.

Where do I go to log in to my control panel? Go to http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel.

DNS

How long does it take for a domain name to begin working? It typically takes between 24 and 48 hours for a domain name to propogate. However, it can occasionally take longer.

What do I set my domain's nameservers to? Nameserver information is available in your welcome email. If you have lost your email you may email support to request your nameserver information.

FTP

Where can I download an FTP client? We recommend FileZilla, a free multi-platform FTP client.

Why doesn't my ftp password change when I change my cPanel password? Please allow up to 24 hours for your FTP password to sync with your cPanel password.

Files I upload are not showing up on the website. Why? Make sure they are being uploaded into the correct folder. For a file to be accessible through a web browser, it must be in the public_html folder or a subfolder of public_html.

Email

How do I create email accounts? To create an email account log in to your control panel, click on the Mail button, and select "Add/Remove/Manage Accounts."

What do I put for the incoming and outgoing mail server? For both incoming and outgoing mailserver use mail.yourdomain.com, where yourdomain.com is your sites domain name.

Where do I go to check emails in my browser? Go to http://yourdomain.com/webmail

What version of Apache do you use? We use Apache version 1.3.37.

What version of PHP do you use? We use PHP version 5.2.1.

What version of MySQL do you use? We use MySQL 4.1.19-standard.

What version of perl do you use? We use Perl version 5.8.7.

Billing

How do I get the 30-day money back refund? Simply email our billing department with your username, password, and why you wish to cancel within thirty days, and we will process your refund.

How do I make a payment? Online payments are recurring and will be billed automatically. Checks can be mailed to us.

How do I stop billing? If you wish to cancel your account simply email us your username, password, and why you wish to cancel. Note that when your account is closed, all information on your account will be deleted.
